The Nakajima B5N was a carrier-based torpedo bomber that was very successful in the early campaigns of the Pacific theater.  Manned by a crew of three, the Kate, as it was called by the Allies, could carry a single torpedo or an 800kg bomb.  It is perhaps best known for its actions during the attack on Pearl Harbor where it was credited with sinking or damaging several battleships that fateful morning.  As the war ground on however it became less effective and ended the war flying Kamikaze attacks.
