4. HMS Hood
Great Britain - 1941
Built during World War I, "The Mighty Hood" was the largest warship for 20 years and came to symbolize British naval might and prestige. Her sinking by the Bismarck in May 1941 and loss of 1,415 crew sent a shock through Britain that caused her Navy to activate every warship in the Atlantic with one goal in mind - "Sink the Bismarck!"
